How To Obtain An Emergency Passport
If you need an emergency passport service, in case of a life or death emergency, then you will need to call and schedule an appointment. These types of life or death emergencies consist of serious illnesses, injuries or death in your immediate family that will require you to travel internationally within 72 hours (3 business days).
You will need to provide the same documents as if you were applying for a new passport in addition proof of the life or death emergency. Examples of proof of emergency are listed below:
- Death certificate (translated)
- A statement from a mortuary, or
- A signed letter from a hospital or medical professional
