View fees to get a passport. Below is a list of passport service fees for both US passports and US passport cards along with the type of payment methods that are accepted for these services. Please note, if you submit the incorrect passport fees, it could potentially delay the application process.

For any child applying for a new passport or renewing, they are required to apply in person. Application Fees and Execution Fees are paid separately. To view the requirements, passport for a children under 16.

Additional service fees listed below are on a per application basis. For example, if you want to expedite your application and your child's, you must pay an additional $60 for each application.

Passport service payment methods
Below are the different types of payment methods accepted for the passport services listed above.
Applying at a passport acceptance facilityApplication Fee and any Additional Services Fees:
- Checks (personal, certified, cashier's, traveler's) and money orders payable to "US Department of State"
- They do not accept credit or debit cards
$35 Execution (Acceptance) Fee Paid Separately:
- Money orders at all locations, payable as instructed by the facility
- Personal checks and cash (exact change only) at some locations
- Credit cards at U.S. postal facilities and some other locations
Please note, it is recommended that prior to visiting a facility, contact them to verify what they accept as payment for services.
